Montgomery Parks, M-NCPPC has one gymnasium that it rents out to the public for volleyball and basketball use only. Reservations are accepted up to 6 months in advance for weekends, and up to 90 days in advance for weekdays.

The Woodside Gym is located in Woodside Urban Park at 8800 Georgia Avenue which is at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Spring Street in Silver Spring. map it

Hours of Use

Woodside Gym is available seven days a week on a hourly basis (one hour minimum rental) between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Permitted activity is limited to volleyball and basketball. Street shoes are not permitted in the gym.

Rules and Regulations

All Permit Holders must follow M-NCPPC rules and regulations, contract rules and regulations, as well as the specific Guidelines and Conditions of Use as stated on the facility permit.

Gym Fees*
The rental fee to reserve Woodside Gym is $30 per hour. Payment is required at the time the reservation is made and may be submitted with an application by phone, mail, fax, or in person in the form of: a) Cash b) Certified bank check or money order c) Credit card d) Company or organization check e) Personal check. Personal checks must be imprinted with applicant's name, current address, and telephone number, and must be accompanied by a valid driver's license, or other acceptable photographic identification, bearing name and address information identical to that imprinted on the check. Checks will not be accepted for fee payments within two weeks of the reservation date.

Key/Security Deposit
A key is required for entry to Woodside Gym. Keys are issued to permitholders along with the facility permit, and may be picked up at the Park Permit Office ONE or TWO BUSINESS DAYS prior to the reserved date(s). All keys and permits must be picked up at one of the permit offices.

A refundable cash key deposit of $25 and a refundable security deposit of $150 are required for all facilities. A key will be issued for the event and must be picked up and returned in person to the same office. The $25 key deposit is forfeited if the key is not returned in person and/or in the manner stated on the permit. The damage deposit is forfeited if the center is not cleaned and/or if there are any violations of the rules and regulations.
Cancellation Policy and Permit Change Fee
The rental fee is eligible for a partial refund only if the reservation is canceled at least 30 days prior to the reservation date. (Cancellations must be received in writing). If it is canceled less than 30 days in advance, the fee is non-refundable. A $48 fee will be assessed for reservation changes (date changes must be made at least one week in advance and submitted in writing). A $48 fee will be assessed for cancellations.
