Montgomery Parks maintains close to 300 fields for public games, practices and walk-on play. These fields can be reserved in advance through the Park Permit Office. Search for fields in Montgomery County.

ATTENTION! All scheduling for Montgomery Parks athletic fields will now be done by the Office of Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF) only. In an effort to streamline County services, the Office of Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF) is now the scheduling agency for all fields previously scheduled by Montgomery Parks, M-NCPPC in Montgomery County. All other existing Parks policies and procedures will remain in place for the Spring/Summer and Fall 2011 seasons. Park Permit Office staff have been relocated to the CUPF offices and will be managing requests for Park fields to ensure a seamless transition for our users.
Contact CUPF for permit application forms. All completed request forms must be submitted directly to CUPF. There is no capacity at this time to provide an electronic submission process.

Park athletic fields closed December 1 - March 31
NOTE: All park athletic fields are closed for play from December 1 - March 31 to allow for rest and seasonal maintenance. Please respect our inclement weather guidelines and stay off the fields during this time. This will help ensure our playing fields are in the best condition possible for the spring/summer season for the enjoyment of all players.

NOTE: First priority user groups must submit their requests by December 1 for the Spring/Summer season and May 1 for the Fall/Winter season or their first priority status will be forfeited for that season. For a list of priority user groups, please see our Athletic Field Use Permit Policy.

Field Use Policy
A new Athletic Field Use Permit Policy (pdf, 172KB) was approved by the Planning Board on June 19, 2008, and amended on April 9, 2009. This new policy outlines guidelines for use of park athletic fields. As of June 2008, all organized, league or team play is prohibited on all athletic fields from December 1 - March 31 and from August 15 - August 31. These periods are established to allow for rest and seasonal maintenance, and no exceptions will be made.
Rules and Regulations
All Permit Holders must follow M-NCPPC rules and regulations, contract rules and regulations, as well as the specific Guidelines and Conditions of Use as stated on the facility permit.
Inclement Weather Policy
Please always remember that playing on a field under any of the conditions listed below can damage the field and make it unplayable, for everyone, for the rest of the season. All play on any park athletic field is prohibited whenever:
- The field is closed for renovation or repair;
- Water is standing on the field;
- One half inch of rain or more has fallen within the previous 24 hours;
- Soil is frozen;
- Soil is wet and "spongy";
- The ground is muddy and soil clumps or clings to shoes;
- Steady rain is falling;
- A lightning/electrical storm is occurring;
- The field is deemed unplayable by Park staff or Park Police.
If you’re unsure if a field is closed, please call your ballfield rainout number first! Rainout number recordings are updated by 2:00 p.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends. Each recording applies to all parks listed under that number.
